In previous years the Main Hall Kitchen has been run as general food fund that people could buy into.
(Greasie Spoon and Golden Griffon.)
Currently there is no confirmed general food fund vendor. If you would like to run a general food fund at Festival please see below.
Food is not provided as part of your festival ticket, and all attendees need to bring their own food.
Seeking Expressions of Interest – Rowany Festival Great Hall kitchen
We are seeking expressions of interest to run the great hall kitchen at Rowany Festival 2019 and 2020.
The Greasie Spoon team have announced that they will be unable to run the great hall kitchen. In 2018, the Greasie Spoon staff were unable to attend Rowany Festival and the kitchen was successfully run by the Golden Griffon.
As neither of the previous coordinators are able to run the Great Hall kitchen in 2019, we have decided, effective immediately and as an ongoing process, to seek expressions of interest for future Festivals. We are beginning by seeking expressions of interest for 2019 and 2020.
We have confirmed dates for both 2019 and 2020 – please note that Rowany Festival will NOT fall on the Easter long weekend for 2020.
The Great Hall kitchen caters for 100 to 160 people, keeping in mind that any key festival staff (stewards, Wombaroo staff, tavern, St. John’s) should be fed at minimal or no cost.
The venue has a commercial kitchen but minimal equipment. It has a cool room and reasonable storage space.
What you need to supply:
If you, or someone you know, would like to run the kitchen please contact us at festivalsteward at lochac dot sca dot org. Submit a short proposal, telling us about your vision for how you would run the service as well as your experience with managing large scale cooking projects.
Any applicants will need to be registered as a Food Business in NSW and to maintain appropriate Food Safety Qualifications.
Expressions of interest close 1 December 2018
Feel free to share this message with anyone you know who would be interested.
