Children's Schola

Children's Schola

The Schola is a set of activities and classes specifically for the younger members of the Kingdom. Ginevra Lucia di Namoraza is the Children's Coordinator for 2017. If you are interested in running classes, or if you have any enquiries, you can contact her at ginevra1488@gmail.com.

Most Schola activities will be held in the Children's Activity Space, but not all - please confirm the location of each activity you wish to attend.

Reminders:

  • Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
  • All Schola activities including classes, story times and children’s activities are not a babysitting service. However, you are able to set up child minding with friends and take turns attending Schola activities with a group of children under your supervision.
  • All Schola activities are run by volunteers with working with vulnerable people cards.
  • Please note that all these activities are in different locations- please refer to the timetable for location details.
  • Please ensure that your children look after the materials and the environment.

Please read the information about Child Safety, including the Festival Parent Code of Conduct and the Festival Parental Supervision Guidelines. IF YOU WISH TO HELP WITH CHILDREN'S ACTIVITIES AT FESTIVAL, YOU MUST HAVE A VALID WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK. This is a state-wide legal requirement. Applications can be made online. If you already have your WWCC, and wish to help out at Festival, you can register with the SCA Youth Office here. Fálki hinn Beinlausi is our Kingdom Youth Deputy Seneschal. You can contact him if you have any questions regarding these requirements.
