Prices for Rowany Festival 2027

Greetings all,

Good news! The Rowany Senate has approved my budget for Festival 2027.

I also have some less good news…

The budget this time around is greatly impacted by increased fees from Wombaroo under their new ownership. There are fixed amounts plus a per-person per-day rate, but the crux of it is that the site now costs us about $20k more than it used to.

You might think that’s extreme, but keep in mind that we’re hiring a large property for 10 days. It’s also worth pointing out that Wombaroo is still $10k cheaper than the next best option was when the Rowany Festival Exec looked into it 5 years ago! And the exec continues to assess options. Historically we have had a very good rate with this site, considering the facilities it provides. And we’re still getting a reduced rate compared to the venue’s normal fees.

The budget is also effected by general increases in hire goods and other costs – portaloos and so forth.

Here’s a summary –

Venue: $71,649
Portaloos, etc: $25,117
Tents, benches, etc: $14,395
First aid, traffic, consumables, levies: $23,572
Total fixed expenses: $73,406
Total per-attendee expenses: $61,327

Projected attendee ticket sales: $140,089
Projected Profit: $5,355
(All figures incl. GST)

Given the large numbers above, I have done my best to keep ticket prices down.

The full event adult member price will start at $260. The adult member single-day ticket will start at $50. Two, three and four-day tickets will also be available. There will be two price rises of 10% and a final gate price rise also 10%.

So, yeah – full event tickets will be more expensive in 2027. Sorry about that.
