Merchants and Market Day

Rowany Festival hosts a vibrant marketplace where attendees can explore a diverse range of handcrafted goods, medieval-inspired wares, and specialty items.


The marketplace is a key highlight of the festival, offering visitors a unique shopping experience with an authentic medieval atmosphere.


Permanent Merchants

A collection of stallholders set up for the entire festival, providing attendees with access to a variety of goods throughout the event. These merchants offer:

  • Handcrafted medieval clothing and accessories
  • Jewelry, leatherwork, and metal crafts
  • Armor, weapons, and shields for combatants
  • Period-appropriate feast gear and utensils
  • Books, scrolls, and calligraphy supplies
  • Specialty foods, spices, and beverages

Knarr Traders is an Australian Owned creator and supplier of living history goods and accessories.

With a focus on Iron Age and Viking Age re-enactment, all of our products are based on archaeological finds and created with historically accurate methods. We do the research so you don’t have to!

We make small wearable items to level up your re-enactment kit, as well as Iron Age and Viking Age tools to help you on your own journey into living history.

Saturday Market Day

On Market Day, additional vendors join the festival, creating a bustling bazaar where attendees can find even more unique goods. This unmissable one-day event is a fantastic opportunity to discover:

  • Locally crafted arts and souvenirs
  • Freshly baked goods and gourmet treats
  • Custom-made garb and historical reenactment gear
  • Rare and imported medieval-style goods
  • Pre-loved garb, books, armour, feasting kit, craft supplies and more

Hand-forged sterling silver and brass penannular brooches, hand-woven cotton inkle loomed belts and trim, linen and wool Norse hoods and fur-trimmed hats.
FAE MORGAINE LEATHERWORK

Morgaine Grey

 Morgaine Grey is an award-winning leather craftswoman based in Sydney. She draws inspiration from her love of history and the Australian bush to create a wide range of products from delicate jewellery to heavy armour. Be sure to check out her colourful belts, hand carved books, bags, homewares and accessories.
